SEC to Expidite the Investigations into Stock Brokers and Investors
The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) is said have expedited the investigations into some of the stockbrokers and investors over alleged irregularities committed in the recent past. There have been various allegations to some of the stock brokers and individual investors. Although SEC had initiated investigations on such irregularities none of them had been concluded as per SEC sources.
However the newly appointed Chairman is keen on expediting the investigations & take strict actions on the culprits. However the SEC Chairman has not named any of the companies or individuals. In fact no one has yet been accused but asked to provide explanations on certain behaviors. It is learnt that the SEC has called for explanation from four stockbrokers and eight investors. Chairman has not to divulged the basis to call for explanations from the stockbrokers and the investors noting that it would be unethical for him to do so.
